Best Weapons for Linnea in Genshin Impact 2026 – From Signature to F2P
One of the most common questions about Linnea is simple: do I need her signature weapon?
The honest answer is more nuanced than yes or no — and understanding why will save you a lot of Primogems.
Linnea is a bow character whose weapon choice matters primarily for three things: CRIT stats, DEF amplification, and off-field damage bonuses. Here’s the complete weapon breakdown from best to most accessible.

Tier 1 – Signature Weapon: Golden Frostbound Oath
Linnea’s signature bow is her personal best-in-slot — no surprise there. But the margin by which it leads is where things get interesting.
Base ATK: 674
Secondary Stat: 88.2% CRIT DMG — one of the highest values on any bow in the game
Passive: Increases DMG dealt by the equipped character while off-field. When Linnea heals a party member, all Moonsign characters receive an ATK% and DEF% buff for 12 seconds.
Why it works: every element of this passive is designed around her kit. She’s almost always off-field, she heals through her Burst regularly, and Moonsign characters are exactly who you want buffed in her team.
The catch: Her constellations — specifically C1 and C2 — provide more team-wide DPS than her signature in most Zibai team scenarios. If you’re on a budget, pull C2 before pulling her weapon.
Tier 2 – Aqua Simulacra
The bow that came with Yelan’s release remains one of the strongest alternatives in the entire game.
Base ATK: 542
Secondary Stat: 88.2% CRIT DMG (matches signature)
Passive: +16% HP (irrelevant for Linnea), but also increases DMG dealt by 20% when enemies are nearby — and this triggers even when off-field.
The 20% DMG boost while off-field is effectively permanent for Linnea, and the 88.2% CRIT DMG means your stat allocation situation is identical to running her signature. If you already own this from Yelan’s banner, it performs extremely close to Golden Frostbound Oath on Linnea.
Tier 2 – Polar Star
A strong generalist option from the standard banner pool.
Base ATK: 608
Secondary Stat: 33.1% CRIT Rate
Passive: Increases Elemental Skill and Burst DMG by 12%. After using Skill or Burst, ATK increases by 10–20% per stack, up to 4 stacks.
The CRIT Rate secondary stat is genuinely valuable on Linnea — it frees up circlet and substat investment for CRIT DMG and DEF% instead. The ATK stacks from the passive are less useful (she doesn’t scale ATK), but the flat Skill DMG bonus is decent.
Tier 2 – Skyward Harp
Another solid standard banner option that many players already own.
Base ATK: 674
Secondary Stat: 22.1% CRIT Rate
Passive: +20% CRIT DMG, 60% chance to fire a small AoE on hit every 4 seconds
Similar story to Polar Star — the CRIT Rate secondary stat helps with stat efficiency, the CRIT DMG passive adds a bit more punch, and the proc damage is minimal but present. Perfectly usable for endgame content without additional investment.
Tier 3 – Phantom Flash
A craftable/obtainable bow with surprising synergy with Linnea’s kit.
Base ATK: 454
Secondary Stat: 61.3% Energy Recharge
Passive: Upon causing an Elemental Reaction, increases Elemental Mastery by up to 120 for 12 seconds. Moonsign characters receive an additional EM boost from this effect while Linnea is off-field.
The EM bonus for Moonsign characters directly supports Lunar-Crystallize reaction damage — which is exactly what Linnea wants to amplify. The ER secondary stat isn’t ideal, but the passive’s value is hard to ignore in dedicated Lunar-Crystallize teams.

Best F2P Weapons
🥇 Slingshot (R5) – Best Free Option
This is the most surprisingly effective F2P weapon on Linnea, and the community consistently recommends it for budget builds.
Base ATK: 354
Secondary Stat: 31.2% CRIT Rate at R5
At Refinement 5, Slingshot provides an enormous CRIT Rate boost that solves one of Linnea’s biggest stat allocation problems. With 31.2% CRIT Rate from the weapon alone plus her CRIT Rate ascension stat, you can comfortably reach the 60% CRIT Rate threshold while loading your artifacts almost entirely with CRIT DMG and DEF substats.
It’s a free bow. It requires zero Primogems. And it performs competitively enough for full Abyss clears. Use it without shame.
🥈 Favonius Warbow
If your Linnea is struggling with Energy Recharge and you need her Burst more consistently, Favonius Warbow is a clean solution.
The ER secondary stat handles her Burst uptime, and the passive generates Elemental Particles for the whole team — especially useful in comps where other members also have high Energy costs.
Downside: You’re sacrificing all personal damage stats for utility. Only choose this if you genuinely need the energy funneling for your team rotation.
🥉 Messenger (R5)
Gives a CRIT DMG bonus on Aimed Shot CRIT hits. Marginally useful since she occasionally uses her Skill in aimed form, but the value is inconsistent. Treat it as a last resort if no other option is available.

Should You Pull Linnea’s Signature?
Pull her signature if:
- You already have C2 Linnea
- You’re running her in the premium Zibai team and want maximum damage
- You have the Primogems without sacrificing character pulls you care about
Skip her signature if:
- You’re deciding between C1/C2 and the weapon — go constellations first
- You already own Aqua Simulacra — the performance gap doesn’t justify the pull cost
- You’re F2P — Slingshot R5 is free and genuinely functional for all Abyss content
The signature is a meaningful upgrade, but it’s the last piece of her vertical investment, not the first.
